Apartment or house, bungalow or mansion, trailer or tract--your home is literally your place in the world. It's where you raise your children, keep your cats and dogs--where you put your stuff.

Home is where your heart is. And when you're in Indiana, you're back home again. Right?

Not necessarily.

Indiana's modest cost of living means millions of Hoosiers live in decent homes and enjoy all the benefits that go with them, like good schools, safe neighborhoods and flourishing communities.

But hardworking people should be able to afford a home and still have enough money to put food on the table and afford other necessities. A stable home is the foundation every child needs to succeed in school--and life. It's also the cornerstone so many of us use to create financial assets that allow us to live better lives and prepare for the future.
