“I am the executive director of a transitional housing agency in Clinton County. We are the only facility of this type in the county. I, myself, have faced being able to afford adequate housing for myself and my family. My husband has usually had a lower paying job and housing for a family of five was difficult to find. We are now in Clinton County, looking for rental property that fits our needs and again, we find the pricing over priced, of poor quality, and difficult to find. Not only do I understand the plight of my clients but I also am in the same boat. Please take time to help those who are living in inadequate housing or those who are homeless. When people can not rely on one of the basic needs for survival, it impacts their entire lives. Not having a home makes every other aspect of thier life miserable. PLEASE help. One person can make a huge difference. Thanks for taking the time to read my story.”
